Description The Cape Cutter 19 is a pretty gaff cutter with an exceptional turn of speed. Stiff in a breeze due to her lead ballast she is much admired where ever she goes. She may be tuned up to race or down for family sailing, as the mood suits. All lines lead safely back to the cockpit so is ideal for short handed sailing. She has gained an incredible following in such a short space of time for being a sea kindly boat- one Cape Cutter sailed around the UK in 2008, another sailed over 3000 miles around Singapore. She has also won the world famous "Round the Island" race, (Isle of Wight) two years consecutively in class in 2009 and 2010. This is partly due to being a modern boat, she has benefitted from recent developments in Computer Aided Design in creating a slippery underwater profile. Chris and Kathryn Wicks keep a diary on the Association web site about their Cape Cutter 19 "Kaliope" adventures (Tales from the Aegean) HERE which epitomises what fun owning a Cape Cutter 19 can be, from regatta racing to just having a great time with friends! The page includes some fantastic picture albums, along with a great narrative. Some of these photographs appear in the album below. With a positive stability to 110 degrees she offers a very stable platform, for both beginners and experienced sailors alike. For a full specification please visit the dedicated Cape Cutter 19 web site by clicking the image below. For pricing and options click HERE or click on the picture in the bottom of the left hand column. With the addition of the custom designed trailer she is ideal for trailing to new destination to explore new waterways and with her retractable centreboard can reach into creeks and coves unreachable by other deeper keeled craft
