Original Devon Gig Order for the Royal Navy
Bob and Norma Brown established boat builders of Heywood were delighted
when they received an order from Lieutenant Commander JP Jacklin from
HMS Bristol of Portsmouth for the Sea Cadets who train at The Royal Navy Training
Centre based at Whale Island.

The 25ft Gig identified as D4 with her Admiralty Grey Deck and Navy Blue Hull was
welcomed last week by Lieutenant Commander Rothwell where she will be used for
the training of the Sea Cadets. Honnor Marine had been brought to their attention
because of the quality build of their magnificent day sailing boats.
